Under Lock & Key Sponsored Walk

This was our main 2026 Fundraising Walk.
Helping to raise funds to buy a Bi-Polar Energy Generator (plus essential associated equipment) that will treat people with large bowel polyps and very early-stage cancers of the food pipe, stomach, and bowel., in support of the Leicester City General Hospital.
We aim to raise the £24,500 needed by enjoying a guided walk through the stunning countryside and tranquil canals in and around the Foxton Lock estate in Leicestershire.
The challengers chose between two walking options: a 15-mile route shaped like a figure eight, with two loops, or a 7-mile route that joins the 15-mile walkers on their second loop. Both groups finished together and celebrated an enjoyable day.
Together, we can make a real difference to the lives of people fighting cancer.
About Foxton Locks...
Foxton Locks, built between 1810 and 1814, is a Grade II listed site, and home to the longest staircase flight of locks in Britain and is a key engineering feat of the Grand Union Canal. These locks have been an essential part of travel, trade, and leisure for over two hundred years. Foxton Locks sits on thirty-four acres of natural green spaces, which makes it great for nature spotting. Look out for herons, swans, swallows, and kingfishers.
